Red Planet Scout

Red Planet Scout is designed to clearly know the terrain of Mars and collect thesurface information of Mars and generate the corresponding terrain mapping. The project can be separated intotwo main parts: a terrain explorer and a computing system. The explorer,controlled by Raspberry Pi, consists of a driving system and a canva system.The former one features wheels and tracks, which makes it possible for therover to navigate complex terrains. A handle is designed to control thedirection and speed of the rover wirelessly. In terms of the canva system, acamera,whose height is adjustable, is set to capture the  surface information of the terrain. Afteringphotographing, the data collected will be sent to the computing system tofinish the analysis and map generation through Open-CV.
