Nowadays the air humidifier is quite popular among dry areas. However,traditional ones which are immobile hold the disadvantage as it usually needsmore than one to humidify the entire space. Moreover, it will take consume muchmore water than actually needed as the place isn’t uniformly humidified.Therefore, the purpose of ourproject is to design an automatic mobile air humidifier which can reduce thewaste of water and make the whole place be humidified evenly. First, weconstructed and programmed an automatic driving vehicle, creating a carrier forthe humidifier. Second, we attached the humidifier to the vehicle in order tomake it mobile and avoid obstacles automatically. Third, we connected thehumidifier to an air humidity detector, which make the humidifier to wet theentire place uniformly. Then, we added an screen on the vehicle, making thehumidity visible to the customers and the humidifier users-friendly. Andfinally, we tested the humidifier and perfected the detail to ensure thestability. After finishing the tasks, the prototype is able to 1) move at a steady average speed andavoid obstacles through the process, 2) humidify an area if the humidity is below40 percent, 3) show the current humidity on the screen, 4) follow programmedroute to cover the whole area, 5) adjust the humidifier according to humidrequirement, 6) save water and avoid waste by making the place evenlyhumidified. In conclusion, compared to the traditional air humidifier, ourdesign is able to make the humidifier more efficient and more flexible.Furthermore, as the humidifier can make the place uniformly wetted, it willalso save water and avoid waste, which corresponds with the environmental need.Our project aims not only to solve the disadvantages of the traditional airhumidifier, but also make the work more flexible and economical.
