“Portable zeppelin: signal transmitting incrisis times” is an innovative aerial vehicle aimed at signal relay proposed bythe team Flying Blue Tigers. The project has noticed the limitations of batterylife in existing signal transmitting drones, thus designing a zeppelin forlong-time and uninterrupted signal service. Filled with helium, a 3-meterzeppelin was made to provide constant float to lift the signal transmittingmodule. With two propellers attached on both sides and two independent switchescontrolling them, the zeppelin can validate marching and turning around withthe control of circuit, realizing mobility. The hand generator can power thepropellers and even additionally charge the signal transmitting modules, whichis sustainable and saves precious electricity in disasters. In real lifeapplications, it can be stored as emergency supplies in different areas torealize timely signal restoration after disaster happens. Clear and simplesystematic and circuit design ensures high reliability and user friendliness.Better cost-effectiveness compared to existing drones brought by tight budget alsoposes the possibility of extensive commercialization and promotion. “Portablezeppelin” is an innovative solution to temporary signal relay, possibly savingmore people in disasters through timely signal restoration in the future.
