Fixed-wing planes are widely used in agriculture for pesticide spraying in farmland and maritime search and rescue with simple terrain and vast areas. However, traditional lithium-battery planes are costly, quickly depleted, and not eco-friendly. Also, traditional solar-powered drones are too bulky in size.
To enable farmers and rescuers to get cost-effective planes, our project aims to create a solar-capacitor-powered fixed-wing plane, which is compact, low-cost, durable, and has an enhanced battery life due to the capacitors. Additionally, it is rather environmentally friendly.
